Waking Watch
What is Waking Watch?
Waking Watch (or fire watch) is a safety service designed to address fire risks, especially after the tragic Grenfell Tower fire in 2017. It ensures trained staff are always on-site to raise alarms and assist with evacuations in the event of a fire. They are also responsible for preventing or, when possible, extinguishing fires.
Who should use this service?
Waking Watch is mainly used in high-rise buildings, but it can be applied to other types of properties as well. It's always better to be safe when protecting lives.
Given the widespread use of combustible cladding similar to Grenfell Tower's, ABW provides a qualified Waking Watch team across the UK. Our personnel, including fire wardens and fire marshals, monitor buildings overnight, staying alert to any fire risks and ensuring the safety of residents.
